Refreshments provided by the 5th grade
parents. 7:30 p.m. Meeting opened with
a prayer.
Treasurer’s Report – Mrs. Kim Saba
- Checking account: $8398.43
- One bill left to play,
approximately $800
- Local area discount cards are
selling well. 80 sold to date. Pre-orders should be in this week. 50% profit.
- 1st Communion
reception came in under budget.
- Recent memorial donations
received total $775. Brief
discussion on how to spend this money.
Ideas: invest in linen tablecloths for the numerous receptions and
events that the Guild hosts. New
coffee pots for receptions.
- We had a great year. $20,000 transferred to school to date.
School Report - Mrs. Mary Ellen LaRose
- Review of upcoming dates: 5/22:
Spanish project (country & food) for upper hall classes
- 5/23: NYC trip for 8th grade; 5/25: rescheduled date
for field day; 5/29 class trips for 2nd/3rd/4th
grade
- 5/30: Cultural Diversity day
& evening school open house
- 5/31: 7th & 8th
grade CPR class from 8:30-11:00.

- 6/1: 1st Friday Mass
in honor of Mrs. Blatz retirement; 6/4: 5th grade trip to
Museum of Natural History
- 6/5: 3rd-8th
grade Archdiocese religion exam; 6/6: NYS Social Studies exam 8th

- 6/6: 1st grade trip
to Museum Village; 6/12: Kindergarten last day; 6/13: Kindergarten
graduation 7:00pm
- 6/14: New Parent orientation
for Kindergarten & morning Volunteer breakfast
- 6/16: 8th grade
graduation 10:00am; 6/18: Spanish proficiency exam.
- Next years Honors Algebra class
will take the NYS Regents exam
- Academic Awards at Lourdes: Our
past students did very well; several are in Principal’s Club (1ST
& 2ND Honors)
- The after school program has
been approved. Times are 2:30-5:45
on days school is in full session, 11:45-5:45 on half-days. Rates, program
structure, and more details will be announced over the summer.
President’s Report- Carol Quaid
- The Guild received a nice thank
you note from Mrs. Blatz for honoring her at the Fashion Show.
- Upcoming Installation Dinner at
Via Nova in Fishkill on 6/8.
- Next year’s Craft Fair will be
on 11/10/07.
- Sign-up sheet is available for
volunteering at 2007/2008 events.
All events should have a co-chairperson for training purposes.
Other Items:
- A proposal was made to amend
the Board Meeting requirement in the By-Laws. Change from a required
meeting a week before the Guild meeting to holding a meeting immediately
preceding the Mother’s Guild meeting. This proposal shall go out in
writing to Guild members in September, to be voted on at the first
Mother’s Guild meeting of the school year in October.
- Vote for the election of new
officers for the 2007/2008 school year was cast by the Guild Secretary,
since all nominees ran unopposed.
The new Board will be:
President: Lisa O’Rourke
Treasurer: Kim Saba
Secretary: Sabrina Pilon
Financial Secretary: Jennifer Lindros
- Lisa O’Rourke has named Patty
Yereance as her Vice President.
Motion to
close was made by Barbara Moran and Suzanne Shea.
